Taking A Look At The Power Supply:

The Akasa PaxPower 460w unit came in a standard retail box, with features and specifications listed on the back side.

Upon examining the PSU, the power specifications are again listed on a side label. Note the extremely nice nickel black coating, giving the PSU an aesthetically pleasing look. Instead of using one or two 80mm fans, Akasa has opted to utilize a single 120mm fan. The larger fan maintains excellent air flow while operating quieter than a smaller fan. The fan also has blue LEDs embedded in it to give a nice glow while the PSU is turned on. The rear of the PSU has the standard universal power connector and a power switch.

As mentioned before, Akasa has included the 20pin ATX to 24pin EPS connector, a big plus for people planning to build / upgrade their system, power cable, screws, and a 4-pin to 3-pin adapter. The 4-pin power connectors have a unique quick release feature which is extremely handy. There are 2 x SATA connectors, 2 x floppy, and 6 x 4-pin connectors. Also worth mentioning is the 4-pin 12v connector, and 8-pin 12v connector.

Inside the PSU reveals a clean layout with vented heatsinks. There are 3 pots for voltage adjustments (though we did not try them out), this is an extremely nice feature for overclockers who like to squeeze every last bit out of their system.
