Testing and Results:

Test System

Motherboard: ASUS P4C-800E Deluxe
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.2 ES
Memory: 2 x 512MB PC4300
Video Card: Radeon 9700 Pro
Hard Drives: Western Digital 80GB
OS: Windows XP Professional

For our testing procedure we take direct readings off the 20-pin ATX connector that goes to the motherboard. We find that using this method is the most accurate way to monitor the voltages coming directly off the power supply. For more information on why we test this way, please read this article. The second 12v reading is taken from a spare 4-pin power connector since this PSU has dual 12v power rails. Two sets of readings are taken. One set is taken at idle, which we simulate by letting the computer sit at the desktop while not running any applications. The other set of readings are taken at full load, which is simulated by running Folding @ Home. We monitor the voltages and check for fluctuations as well.

Test Results

  +3.3V +5V +12V-1 +12V-2

Idle:

3.42v 5.11v 11.95v 11.95v

Load:

3.40v 5.13v 11.88v 11.88v

Results show this power supply to be within specified ranges and very solid voltage levels. These voltages were straight out of the box, remember there are 3 potentiometers for some of the more hardcore overclockers that want to fine-tune their rails. The voltages really didn't fluctuate, even under load.
