Performance Summary & Final Conclusions:

The Akasa PowerPlus 650W has totally blown away my expectations! For the enthusiast that demands a serious power supply, look no further. Four 12V rails comply with the 240VA UL safety specification and are capable of delivering plenty of power to even the most demanding PC, workstation, or server. Adjustable potentiometers allow for precise voltages on each rail and could possibly aid in achieving better stability. Active PFC reduces line transmission demands, drawing less current through the wall wiring, and is even a requirement in some countries. Finally, the black mesh sleeving is both aesthetically pleasing and functional in reducing cable clutter. All Akasa power supplies have a 3 year warranty, so if there are any problems you can RMA it with one of the various global offices.

The only downside to this PSU is the noise generated by the single 80mm fan under very heavy loads. However, that is pretty much common to any power supply. Other than the fan noise, I can't think of any other downside to this power supply.
