Introduction:

Antec is one of the top most recognized brand names when it comes to high-end PC enclosures. The original Performance Series is undoubtedly the most well-known Antec design, and each new generation since then has been based on this classic chassis. The Antec TX1050B in this review is part of the Performance TX line, a third generation model. While many aspects of the case have been updated and redesigned, there are still a lot of great classic features that have withstood the test of time and remained untouched to this day. All Performance TX models are designed to meet Intel's Thermally Advanced Chassis (TAC) design guide and come with ATX12V v2.0 power supplies.

Their entry level laptop has now dropped to just $399 folks. This is a brand new computer, not refurbished or reconditioned or regenerated or whatever. I would upgrade the battery if you do plan on using it on the road regularly to the 6 cell for $50.
