Inside Of The Case:

The fan duct (the specifications refer to it as a "fan cone") is placed on the side panel so that it lines up with the CPU fan on the motherboard. The fan duct is removable, and there is a washable filter that easily slides in and out. Fan ducts are very popular because it allows the CPU fan to draw cool air in directly from the outside of the case, helping keep the processor temperature down.

The duct can be extended to bring it as close over the CPU fan as necessary, however, with it screwed in all the way it gives a reasonable gap from the CPU fan, so that even some of the larger aftermarket coolers should fit. Upon installing an IT7 motherboard in the case, I noticed the duct doesn't sit exactly over the CPU, which every motherboard is different these days so there is no way to get it perfect. However, I would estimate about 75% lined up over the CPU, definitely making it functional.

The inside of the case can be confusing at first, where one usually finds screw holes there are now tabs, risers, and slots. The case is about 99% tool-less, only the hard drive requires the use of screws. Everything else that installs in the case can be done with just your hands. All edges inside the case have been rounded off so you don't cut your hands or any wires by accident.

One interesting thing to note is that the PCI slots do not require being screwed down. There is a bar that hinges over all the slots to keep them firmly in place. There are also little tabs protruding where the screw holes usually are to help align the cards properly.

The hard drive cage is mounted sideways, making it extremely easy to access the drives and connectors. The two handles for hard drives are stored on the bottom area of the case when not used.

The front connectors are all clearly labeled, and it is highly advisable that you reference your motherboard manual when hooking them up so that all the connections are correct. The cables are plenty long to reach anywhere on the motherboard. Some of the connectors have each pin separate, allowing for maximum compatibility. If you like extremely tidy cases and aren't using all the front connectors, the cables can be individually disconnected inside to keep a clean look.

Underneath the hard drive cage are all of the rails and screws that are required for the case. There is a spring-loaded handle to pull that allows a rail to slide out from the storage area. The screws are only for the hard drives. The side of the hard drive cage has the power connector for the front eyes, as well as the power switch and power led cables, all held down in a multi-purpose clamp.
