Exterior of the Anubis (cont):

The bottom of the case also has a recessed area for a 120mm fan that is covered with a black 120mm fan grill. The way the case is designed if you decide to mount a front fan it will stick out of the front of the case. It looks very odd to me. Mounting an optical drive in the 5.25 bay also yielded some disappointing results. After trying six different optical drives I realized the width and height of the 5.25 bays are too small for an optical drive. The drive sticks out about the width of the plastic front of the optical drive. These two issues aren’t seen if the door is closed though. A feature seen in some higher end cases is a door that can swing either way, this case lacks that the hinges are on the right side of the case, so plan accordingly for your location.

The rear of the case is pretty standard. It has a top mounted power supply. I/O panel area, one 120mm fan area. No fan is included here. There are also seven PC slots, and a newer enthusiast must have, water cooling tube holes. One cool and unique feature of the Anubis is the engraved serial number on the back of the case that has the same number engraved on the keychain you receive with the case. Functional? No. Cool? Very. Finally, moving to the bottom of the case we see that the Anubis has four rubber large feet. They are a nice non-scuff (I tested this) rubber that are adjustable by unscrewing them to make the case perfectly level thereby eliminating some vibration and noise.
