Hiper Type-R 580W Power Supply

Hiper is a name better known in Europe than in the US, however their power supplies are available world-wide. Best known for the modular "Type-R" series, Hiper considers this their premium line of power supplies.

On the Type R we our using our design patented mesh body. This allows directional convection thereby lowering the need for forced air (Fan) which in turn means lower fan RPM and noise. Also as a side effect it lowers weight, as you notice even using all these techniques our Type R is still quiet heavy. This brought us to the need for a new package which can take the punishment most delivery people dish out while protecting all the circuitry inside, so was born the Type R tool box. We wanted to do something new with the Modular connections as the existing ones in the market were un-secure. With modding in mind we designed the Omnigrid TM connectors to resolve this issue. With connections for up to 12 devices, Advanced APFC (NON American Models), after shut down cooling function, over and under Voltage and Temp protection circuits, and ATX 2.2 this represents the latest in Power generation Technology.

The most unique feature of this power supply, in my opinion, is the style of modular connectors and the respective additional expansion cables. The mesh body also is somewhat unique and provides excellent ventilation for the power supply.
