Matrix Orbital MX610

Introduction:

The Matrix Orbital MX6 Series of USB PC bay inserts is available in four different styles to match various cases. These variations are: Beige, Black, Brushed Aluminum, and Black Brushed Aluminum. In this review we will utilize the MX610 which is a 7-key, PLED, Black PC bay insert, along with several optional accessories. The MX6 series uses a PLED (Polymer Light Emitting Diode) display that offers an excellent 160 degree viewing angle, fast response time, crisp contrast, and lower power usage. The MX6 series also allows 3 fans and 4 temp probes to be connected directly into the back of the unit and controlled via software.

Below is a short list of display terminology for those unfamiliar with displays like this, with links to wikipedia definitions. If you skim over each you can see why PLED is such a great technology for this application.

Dell Small Business - Dell Vostro 1000 with AMD Sempron 3600+, 512MB DDR2, 80GB SATA Hard Drive, CDRW/DVD Combo, 802.11, WinXP Home and 1 Year Warranty for Only $399
Their entry level laptop has now dropped to just $399 folks. This is a brand new computer, not refurbished or reconditioned or regenerated or whatever. It has a 15.4" WXGA screen that does give you a free upgrade to the TrueLife display (be sure to check it off) while an upgrade to 2GB of memory, if you'd like, is just $50. I would upgrade the battery if you do plan on using it on the road regularly to the 6 cell for $50. As I've said before, these notebooks are getting cheaper and cheaper and at $399, it's practically disposable. Almost. DELL VOSTRO 1000 LAPTOP DEAL
