It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the entire chassis has a rubberized coating on top of the black paint. Ventilation is achieved via a single 120mm fan, which is the most common choice for today's power supplies.

The primary ATX power connector is the 20+4pin detachable design (to maintain backwards compatibility), and one thing to note is that the -5V rail is present (for really, really old motherboards). The 4pin +12V connector is actually tied to an 8pin +12V connector (for EPS designed motherboards). A single PCIe connector is present on the harness, however a second PCIe adapter is included which connects to a pair of 4pin connectors. Only two SATA connectors are present on this PSU. Personally I think a couple more SATA connectors should be present on this PSU, especially considering it is a 550W model. Lastly there are two floppy connectors and seven 4pin connectors. All pins on this PSU are gold-plated, a choice we are seeing more PSU & MB manufactures go with to reduce electrical resistance and likelihood for oxidization or corrosion. Cable length is approximately 22" from chassis to the first connector.
