Second Image:

For the printed image I opted to apply it on a window to see how easy it would be to apply and how good it would look. Well, I only have one window out of all my computer stuff, it is a black-smoke plexi window. Being color though, the printed image should show up well on just about any color or surface.

Yes, that is the front of my 19" rack cabinet that holds my home servers and a few other machines. I figured placing the image in the upper left corner would work best, perhaps later on I can get some vinyl letter to put text to the right of the image.

Again, it was the same process as before to apply the image. The left picture above shows just the rough placement, and the right picture shows once it has been applied. Once I had it in place, it was time to let it sit for 5-10min, so I decided to go back to the first image and peel away the premask.

Time To See The Results:

After carefully peeling away the premask the image of the F-15 came out absolutely flawless! These pictures really don't do the image justice of just how detailed and smooth the lines are, the quality and sharpness are top notch! It just amazes me how all those little bits of black vinyl are held in place so well, I guess if the material was originally made for a car and to take a beating outside in all sorts of weather, surely it can handle being indoors in a nice temperature controlled environment.

Again I let the first image sit so it could harden to the case panel some more, and it was just about time to pull off the premask from the second image.

The printed image came out just as flawless as the first! The colors were sharp and vivid, even in a dim light the image really stood out well.

After letting both images sit for a while to harden to the case panel & window, I put them back on their respective case / cabinet. I will let the pictures speak for themselves...

I had to Photoshop out the flash in the left picture below, I took literally dozens of pictures but I wasn't able to a good angle without it reflecting because the front is so close to an adjacent wall.

Conclusions:

These vinyl images really add a nice custom look, and weren't hard at all to apply. Even the most novice person could apply these images and end up with just as professional a look as I got. As long as the instructions are followed you really can't mess up. I really can't say enough good things about these images, they just look so great and give such a custom look. People that are wanting to have their case stand out from the rest of the pack, this is the item for you!

Depending on the size and complexity of the image, spending $10-$20 is a good investment if you want to give your case a look that is unique to most others. They are very high quality and should last for years and years down the road. Again, remember that only the 1-color images are available as a self application kit, the printed images are only available with a custom case (because of how vulnerable the images are until they are applied).

The color selection for the solid color vinyl images range from red, blue, gold, silver, white, and black with other colors coming soon. Right now you can only choose a color when creating a custom case, however very soon you should be able to choose a color for the self-applied images.

Northward Graphics offers a lot of custom services: painting, windows, blowholes, images, and a lot more can be done at reasonable prices.

Pros:
  Reasonably Priced
  Excellent Quality Images
  High Grade Materials
  Extremely Easy Installation
More Unique Look (Than Rounded Cables Or A Rheobus For Instance)

Cons:
Can Only Get Printed Images With A Custom Case

Rating:

For The Average User: 10 / 10

  For The Extreme Overclocker: 10 / 10

As I promised before, we are giving away one of their 1-color images. As you can tell from the image below, it is about 11" long and 3" wide, so you can place it pretty much anywhere on your case. I will also include the instructions & squeegee (of course). All you have to do is head on over to our contest page and submit your info into the form, no strings attached!
