Introduction:

Quiet computers are harder and harder to find as speeds get faster and parts get hotter. To keep systems cool, most users add more cooling fans, increasing the noise level. Nexus Technology has not been around for that long but they have already made an impact on the market for designing quiet computing solutions. They have a line of cases, power supplies, CPU coolers, ram sinks, and many other accessories to help keep computers almost silent while maintaining quality and performance.

Today we get a chance to look at the Nexus NX-4000 power supply. Nexus has designed this power supply to be silent but not at the cost of performance. The power supply runs at 21.7 dB in an idle state. As we all know, heat shortens the life of components, so will the quieter fan be able to keep the power supply cool?
