Packing, Accessories, Cable Configuration:

The OCZ GameXStream comes in an extremely nice (and flashy) retail style box, there is no way you can miss this product on the shelf. Things we like to see clearly stated on the box are the wattage, warranty, power specifications, SLI-Ready, and other relevant features. OCZ has labeled everything important very prominently on the box, they take pride in their power supplies quality and warranty program. If you lookup the UL number, it will reference OCZ Technology.

Included with the power supply is the power cord, screws, and manual. The manual is short, but contains very useful info such as the PSU's specifications, OVP & OCP figures, power connector pin-out diagram, and safety info.

The main ATX connector is the 20+4 pin detachable style, eliminating the need for an adapter cable for legacy 20 pin motherboards. The ATX12V / EPS12V connector is a 4+4 pin style, allowing for either connection to be used. Then finally there are two 6 pin PCI Express cables, each cable is labeled as PCI-E1 and PCI-E2. Each of the 12V rails on these connectors are color-coded so you know they are on different rails. Also the side of the PSU shows the power distribution for each of the rails (pictured later).

There are two cables with SATA connectors, each cable has three connectors. There are also two cables with the 4 pin and floppy connectors, each of those cables has three 4 pin and a single floppy connector on them.

All cables are approximately 20-21" from the PSU to the first connector. Cables with additional connectors on the string are spaced approximately 7-8" apart. The total cable count is as follows:

  • 1 x 20+4 pin ATX
  • 1 x 4-pin / 8-pin ATX12V / EPS12V
  • 2 x PCI-E
  • 6 x 4-pin peripheral
  • 2 x 4-pin floppy
  • 6 x SATA
