Looking at the PSU:

Looking at the PSU it is very plain compared to some of the more flashy PSUs on the market today. It comes with the power cable and mounting screws, and that's it. There are no adjustable fan controls on the power supply, and there are no LEDs on the fans or anything like that. This power supply was made solely to supply a clean and reliable source of power to your computer. Some of these other features are nice but having more precise and consistent power is more important. One other thing to note is that there is no power switch. This might upset some people but we do not find it as a problem to unplug the power supply if we need to power down.

Inside of this power supply, PC Power and Cooling has used some very high quality parts. The capacitors are huge and there is a massive heat sink. We did not not take any pictures for this particular review but here are pictures from two previous articles. The use of these parts really helps to prolong the life of the power supply and for it to provide “good” power.

There is also only one 80mm fan on this power supply. Recently we have seen 2, 3 and even 4 fans on power supplies. Obviously, PC Power and Cooling believes that one fan will do the job. The fan is rated at 44 CFM and is ball bearing. There are 8 12V 4-pin connectors, 2 floppy connectors, the 20-pin ATX connector, 6-pin auxiliary connector, and the P4 4-pin connector.

Also on this power supply, there is the addition of external potentiometers. Other PC Power and Cooling power supplies have potentiometers to adjust the voltage rails but they are internal. These external pots allow users to change the rails safely while the power is turned on, which makes things much easier. So now the user can change the rails as while getting direct readings as the PSU is powered.

This Power Supply is also on AMD's list of recommended PSUs.
