Taking a look at the inside of the SilenX 400W PSU you will see the high quality parts used in the design. There are extremely large heatsinks, massive capacitors, and a high quality transformer. All of these components make for a very reliable power supply. One other thing we would like to add is that the SilenX 400W PSU is a TANK. It is very heavy compared to other power supplies. That does not always mean that it is the best, but it does give you a good idea of the quality of the parts included in the power supply. The components are placed in such a way to allow for maximum air flow throughout the inside of the power supply. The benefits of this are prolonging the life of the SilenX 400W PSU, and it also makes for a much more stable environment for all the components inside the power supply.

One thing most overclockers today like to see is a pot to adjust the voltages on the rails of the PSU, this model does not include one. I am not sure if their other models do, but this would be a nice addition to this power supply. Overall, the inside of this PSU says high quality, but let's determine that after we run it through some stress testing.
