Very good results with the SilenX 400W PSU. Since the fan speed is so low on the SilenX 400W PSU, we were completely surprised with the results. We would have expected the heat inside the power supply to affect the voltage stability in some way, but it never did. As you can see, there is almost no fluctuation in any of the voltages. Also, there was definitely less that 1% variance on the rails from idle to load, with the 5V staying perfectly stable. We tested this in a fully overclocked system 2 vcore and 2.9 vdimm, so these are really impressive results. We also did a test beforehand. We used 4 standard case fans and a CD drive all outside the case. We checked for sound since my case has 5 sunon tornado case fans in it. We could not hear the PSU fan at all. We did notice the fan at the back of the SilenX 400W PSU does blow out some really warm air under load conditions, but we would have to say that it was no warmer than most other PSU's on the market today.
