Samurai Case Exterior:

With the front panel door closed, the case looks very clean and sharp. The "eye" in the middle is actually the main power switch, which is illuminated when the PC is turned on. The door only opens 90° and not a full 180°, this could be a minor annoyance for some. Below the power switch are small vent holes which correspond to the front 80mm fan mount inside the case.

The rear of the case is a somewhat standard design. The power supply mounts at the very top of the case, and there are two 80mm exhaust fan vents. One thing about the fan vents is they are not flat, half is recessed, which requires the use of a special fan bracket on the inside.

The left side of the case sports a large window with an 80mm fan mount. During shipping the acrylic is covered with a protective plastic film to prevent scratches. The left side panel is held in place by two thumb screws, facilitating easy tool-less access. The right side of the case has a row of recessed vent holes down side to help circulate air under the motherboard.

The front "eye" on the case as mentioned before is actually the power switch. To the left of the power switch is a small hard drive activity LED, and to the right of the power switch is a small reset button. The reset button is extremely small, and might require some people to use a pen or something to reset their system. When the system is on the power switch lights up with several blue LEDs embedded in the switch.

On the right side of the front panel are the two USB 2.0 ports and audio/mic jacks. While the USB connector uses a standard motherboard header connector, the audio jacks utilize the mini audio connectors found on the back of a motherboard or sound card. This doesn't make sense to me since just about all motherboards today have onboard audio headers. Also to run the audio cables to the rear audio jacks would mean removing one of the PCI brackets and routing the cables that way. There are no punch-out holes in the back of the case or special notched PCI bracket included to run the audio cables out the back of the case which is somewhat disappointing.
