Front panel and controls:

Controlling the front panels is relatively easy, here is the breakdown on the controls:

  • T Button - (T stands for temperature.): Press this button to choose temperature sensors displayed. There are four sensors: CPU, HD, Case, and Power Supply. (Default is CPU.).
  • F Button - (F stands for fan.): Press this button to choose fans for control: Fan 1, Fan 2, Fan 3 and Fan 4. (Default is Fan 1).
  • C Button - (C stands for color.): Press this button to choose the LCD backlight colors. There are seven color choices (six colors plus an off mode). You may also set it in Auto or Off mode. In Auto mode, the color will be automatically changed every three seconds. There will be no backlight on OFF mode. (Default is Blue.).
  • FAN 1, FAN 2, FAN 3 and FAN 4 knobs - These control the fan speed respectively. (Turn clockwise to increase speed.).
  • T Button + F Button - After you press both buttons for 3 seconds, the digits of temperature will be blinking. Then you can adjust the alarm temperature of the current sensor point by button T (increase) and button F (decrease). After 3 seconds of your adjustment, it will be memorized automatically while the digits stops blinking. Your adjustment will be saved even after you reboot your PC. In addition, you can press Button T to the next temperature sensor for adjustment.
  •  T Button + C Button - After you press both buttons for 3 seconds, all of your custom settings will be cleared and returned to default. (CPU=65C, HD=55C, CASE=45C, POWER=99C).
  • C Button - Pressed for 3 to 5 seconds: you can switch Celsius to Fahrenheit. You can switch it to the default setting by repeating it. (Default is Celsius).

Note : If any sensor temperature goes above the setting, an alarm will sound automatically and the temperature digits will blink.  The alarm will stop after 20 seconds, but the temperature digits on the readout will continue blinking until the problem is fixed. Also, if any fan fails or the fan's speed goes lower than 600 RPM (revolutions per minute), the fan number will blink and an alarm will sound. The alarm will stop after 20 seconds, but the fan number readout will continue blinking until fixed. We did a voltage check on the PSU and the +12v line was reading 12.08, when I checked the fan output on the Super-Flower Fan Master it gave me a range from 6.95v min. to 12.00v max. So the quality of the parts are really good because there was very little drop in the maximum voltage. Also, the temperature sensor on the CPU was reading about 3c lower than MBM5 (motherboard monitor 5) and that is acceptable due to the fact that it is a external temperature probe and not under the CPU like the sensor that MBM5 uses.

Here are the 6 color's available in the display.
