A First Look at the VapoChill (cont):

The evaporator head tubing is nicely insulated with thick black foam and sleeved with black mesh. The head itself is a heavy copper block that mounts directly onto the CPU.

At the rear of the unit is the Panaflo exhaust fan and the protruding power cable. The power cable is a unique pass-through design that allows you connect your computer's power supply and the VapoChill to one AC socket using one power cord.

Warning: I am going to remove the side panels on the VapoChill for review purposes only. Do not attempt to do so on your own unit as it is dangerous and will void your warranty.

I exposed the internals of the unit by removing the front and the left and right side panels. Mounted at the front of the VapoChill is the condenser coil with Panaflo fan. The fans are Panaflo FBA12G 120mm x 38mm, and are rated at 35.5dB-A. Some people will probably consider these fans loud, but I'm not too uptight when it comes to noise so it's not going to bother me. The fans do make audible noise, but it isn't an obtrusive noise in my opinion.

In the middle of the unit is the black Danfoss compressor charged with refrigerant R507.
