VapoChill Accessories:

The heart of the VapoChill XE II is the USB based ChillControl hardware / software. The main ChillControl PCB has various connections on it for heater elements, thermal probes, fans, and of course the USB connection. The Windows based ChillControl software allows for monitoring temperatures, setting fan speeds, adjusting heater element power, and a few other miscellaneous things.

Currently there are two socket kits available, one set is for AMD S754/939/940 & Intel S478 (left picture), the other set is only for Intel LGA775 aka Socket-T (right picture). Both kits include the main clamshell, various neoprene seals, heater elements, thermal compound, mounting hardware, a metal back plate, and an assembly manual. The nice thing about these kits that it is no longer necessary to stick any of the neoprene pads to the motherboard, so that the user can swap out motherboards with ease. The main clamshell and neoprene pads create a seal around the CPU socket preventing condensation, a couple heater elements further aid in preventing any condensation from forming around the socket.

Since the evaporator head is a universal design, when a new socket comes out, Asetek is able to offer a standalone clamshell kit to upgrade existing VapoChill units. Purchasing just the clamshell kit is much more economical than purchasing an entirely new unit.

The power supply mounts vertically almost directly in front the evaporator head. It is a tight fit and could be troublesome since the PSU will push up against the evap hose. The hose is a flexible design and is capable of bending so that everything fits in place.
