The temperatures that we took were used with the Hardware Monitor software provided with the ABIT IC7 MAX3. The problem was that it only shows CPU temperatures. To get the temperatures off of the Radeon 9700 Pro and the North Bridge, we used a CompuNurse. This should give us an accurate depiction of how well the WaterChill cools of these components. One of the probes was placed on the back of the video card, directly behind the GPU. The second probe was placed to where it was touching the side of the 875P chip. We even trimmed off some of the protective covering on the probe to get it that much closer to the core.

We define the idle temperatures as running Windows with no other applications for 30 minutes. CPU and North Bridge load temperatures were taken after having the system run Prime 95 for 30 minutes. GPU temperatures were taken after running 3DMarks 2003 for 30 minutes in loops.

The ambient temperatures were kept as close to 25C as possible. Sorry that we did not have other coolers to compare to but we are working on some other ones and other comparisons can be made.
