The MCW5000-P Water Block:

When it comes to water blocks, Swiftech definitely has established itself as one of the top manufacturers. The Swiftech blocks are very attractive and perform extremely well. Case in point, the MCW5000-P. I've had previous experience with this water block and it is an excellent piece of equipment. Although it's successor, the MCW5002 has been released, the MCW5000 can still deliver the performance needed by extreme overclockers. It sports the beautiful Swiftech blue finish and a mirrored finish on the copper plate. It's designed to use 1/2" inch OD tubing and uses Swiftech's own quick-connect system. There were only a few blemishes and fine machine marks on the base plate, but it still retained a near mirror finish. This block is very easy to use due to the fact that it attaches right to the stock socket 478 retention frame using the supplied clips. My kit actually also included mounting hardware for socket 462 applications.
