Warp Speed Now!:

I went back into the BIOS, and the max voltage my motherboard let me go to was 1.95v, but I decided to try 1.9v @ 155FSB (1,085MHz) first, it booted and went into widows, did some tests with no problems. So then I went back and bumped the speed up to 160FSB (1,120Mhz), however windows froze while loading, so I bumped the voltage up to 1.95v (max the board would let me), and I got into windows just fine. I ran Prime95, RC5, Q3A, 3DMark, and SiSoft Sandra, and everything checked out just fine.

I couldn't believe that for a CPU that sells pretested at a minimum speed of 933, I managed to get 1.12GHz out of it! One thing that should be pointed out is that you need a system that can support such a high FSB speed if you are going to attempt to max out the CPU. The BE6-II is known for its excellent stability, and I used a GeForce2 GTS video card, which can also handle being out of spec without any problems. Being a BX based motherboard means that there is no 1/2 AGP divisor, only a 2/3, which translates to a whopping 107MHz AGP bus speed! Also, I needed some good memory that could run at 160FSB (if I had a VIA based board I could of used the 1/2 AGP divisor and also made use of the memory -33 option if needed), so for memory I used my 128MB Mushkin PC150 memory module. Here is a a complete breakdown on my specs:

System Specifications:

Motherboard ABIT BE6-II v2.0
Memory 128MB Mushkin PC150
Video Card Creative Annihilator 2 (GF2GTS)
Hard Disk Maxtor 30GB 7200RPM ATA/100
CD-ROM Mitsumi 4x (Old, I know)
Network Card (Old) 3Com 10Mb NIC
Power Supply Antec 300w

Before I get into the benchmarks, realize that performance will vary some according to your system components. I tweaked all my memory settings, and kept the timings at 2-3-2 for all the benchmarks. I ran my GTS at stock speeds, along with 240 core & 390 memory which is the max it will overclock to.
