Mushkin 512MB PC4000 Dual Pack - Up Close:

All Mushkin memory comes shipped in a very unique and effective plastic bubble. To remove the memory from the package simply pull the plug to release the air.

The heat spreader's color on the memory modules are completely random and change from time to time, if you want a specific color you will have to request it ahead of time before ordering from the Mushkin website. The sticker clearly display the memory as PC4000 (DDR500), it would of been nice if they also printed timings on the sticker, but that's not really an issue.

*Module Description:

The Mushkin 256MB PC4000 DDR SDRAM is a 32M bit x 64 Double Data Rate SDRAM memory module. The Mushkin PC4000 is built with eight 32M x 8 bit 66pin TSOP-II(400 mil) Double Data Rate SDRAM chips in a single bank, double sided configuration mounted on a 6-layer 184pin glass-epoxy substrate PCB. Each DDR SDRAM is mounted on the circuit board in parallel with four 0.1uF decoupling capacitors. The memory is intended for mounting into 184pin edge connector sockets on commercial release motherboards. Synchronous design allows precise cycle control with the use of system clock. I/O transactions are possible on every clock cycle. The module is designed for use on a 250Mhz (500MHz DDR) overclocked memory bus. The RAM has been tested and certified for use on the Intel 865PE & 875P chipsets at 500MHz. Other chipsets including but not limited to VIA KT400, KT600, K8T800 and nVidia nForce2 & nForce3 have also been tested for full compatibility but typically do not support the high overclock of 500MHz FSB.
