Mushkin Redline XP3500 DDR 1GB (2x512MB) Memory Dual Pack

Overclocking The Memory:

Overclocking this memory was pretty straight forward. We started out with 3.1V and 2-2-2-6 1T timings @ 200MHz and worked our way up from there. The maximum speed we were able to achieve was 250MHz (DDR500) @ 3.3V while still maintaining the rated 2-2-2-6 1T timings! This is well above the rated PC3500 (217MHz) for this memory!

The XP3500 is rated to run between 3.1V-3.3V, while the XP4000 memory is rated to run between 3.3V-3.5V. When I asked Mushkin about the voltage difference their reply was the following:

The modules were tested at voltages above and below what the rating is and we chose the range that gave us the best performance. The 4000's require more than the 3500 for stability reasons. Above 3.5V and below 3.3V the 4000's can produce errors. Above 3.3v and below 3.1V the 3500's can produce errors.

I did attempt higher voltages & speeds, but pretty much past the 250MHz mark for me was the point of diminishing returns. Below are a couple screenshots @ 250MHz.
