Overclocking Results:

Overclocking these modules at the 7-7-7-24 stock timings yielded about an extra 75MHz of speed. After loosening the timings to 9-9-9-36 I could hit about 1800MHz stable. This is a pretty good overclock, but I was limited by my processor in terms of temperature because of the voltage increase needed to run at the higher speeds.

Product Summary & Final Conclusions:

For the cost of about $199 USD (according to Newegg), the OCZ Platinum 6GB kit is a good value for what the product is. They clock well and run cool. On top of that OCZ backs their memory with a lifetime warranty, which for overclockers pushing their memory to the max that is a good thing.

If you want to get that Core i7-920 or i7-930 to 4GHz these modules should do it without breaking a sweat. If you really want to push them loosen up the timings and see how high of a clock you can get.
