Jetart NP6600 Foldable Notebook Cooler

Testing the Jetart NP6600:

Every notebook is a different design, and the actual placement of the components can have a noticeable effect on how well a notebook cooler works. Each notebook relies on a combination of active and passive cooling in different proportions.

Using I8kfanGUI I monitored the CPU, GPU, and HD temperatures over a period of about 30-45 minutes while doing light office tasks (web browsing, email, typing, etc).

On average, there was practically no difference with recorded CPU, GPU, and HD temps when using the NP6600. Why no difference? As mentioned above, component placement and general notebook thermal design plays a role in how heat is dissipated.

On a positive note, the bottom surface of my notebook was extremely cooler when using the NP6600, so residual heat was being dissipated off the chassis of the notebook. That's heat that would otherwise just be building up under the notebook where other components are (that don't have temperature monitoring).

Product Summary & Final Conclusions:

The Jetart NP6600 does what it is designed to do, which is to blow cool air on the bottom surface of a notebook. The effectiveness however, is something that will vary with each and every notebook. This notebook cooler is foldable, making it portable enough to travel with your notebook.

A downside to the notebook cooler is that while being powered it will consume a USB port. A pass-thru connector would have been nice in this situation. Also, some people might not like the extra height that is added by the cooler, even though it is about as low-profile as you can get.

Would I recommend this product to someone? Absolutely. The amount of heat that radiates from the bottom of a notebook is substantial, using a notebook cooler helps to dissipate that heat away from the notebook.
