Conclusions & Final Thoughts:

It is obvious that the BH7 is without a doubt, a good overclocker. It really has all the features needed to have an extreme overclock. The voltage options available in the BIOS are some of the biggest factors. In addition, the board's design with the stripped features and heavy-duty capacitors really make it that much more overclockable. The voltages were stable throughout the testing procedure so the power is definitely stable overall.

After all of our testing the board was 100% stable even at high FSBs until our CPU started to give out. Overclocking was a breeze with ABIT’s Soft Menu 3. The memory divisors really help to get that extra boost out of the memory and locked APG/PCI makes it easy to overclock without worrying about hard drive corruption or cards going crazy.

As far as support goes, ABIT’s website provides a lot of help. They have an online RMA form in case something happens to the board. They also have online forums as well, where one can go and post a particular problem and many other people can help to fix the issue. For more information you can go directly to the ABIT support page.

Cost of this board is not very cheap but not expensive either. It is competitively priced with other boards with the same features. For the overclocker, this board is at a very reasonable price considering how well it overclocks. For someone looking for many onboard features, this might not be the board for them. It does have most of the basic features for the average user and even has Serial ATA for the future of hard drives.

The BH7 is a nice board to addition to the line of 845PE boards that ABIT has. With 800 MHz FSB CPUs on the horizon, it will be interesting to see what other boards ABIT will release. Will they all have high voltage options and support the overclockers? From what we have seen in the past they will more than likely release many different boards based on the same chipset that appeal to all the different PC enthusiasts.

We would like to give a special thanks to ABIT for sending us the board for review.

Pros:
 • Stable
 • Good Overclocking Options
 • 4 Phase Power
 • Will be able to support 800 MHz FSB CPUs

Cons:
 • Little under-volting on the CPU
 • 3:4 Memory divisor a little screwy (Hopefully future BIOS will fix this issue)

Final Ratings:
(Score Based On 10 Point Scale)

Cost: 9.0
Performance: 8.5
Support: 10.0
Stability: 10.0
Overclocking: 9.5
