ABIT KV8-MAX3 Guru:

ABIT EQ

ABIT EQ is similar to such software as motherboard monitor. The window can cycle through voltages, temperatures, and fan speeds. You can set up various displays and alarms. The software is just as easy to set up as the usual Winbond Monitor that comes with ABIT boards.

Audio EQ

Audio EQ is exactly what one would expect. You can adjust the level of individual frequencies, use presets, and add various sound effects to the output audio. This isn't exactly a spectacular feature because most sound cards come with some sort of EQ but ABIT puts all of these options in one east to find menu.

Black Box

The BlackBox  is one of the major features concerning Guru. Here users can send off their system information along with the symptoms or issues they are experiencing. The information that is sent off to ABIT only concerns drivers and hardware so nothing personal will go. There is an auto-detect button that will find the system hardware and drivers instead of users having to input manually. BlackBox is a great feature and really allows consumers to get easier tech support rather than having to search through FAQs, call tech support, and figure out their system information.

Fan EQ

The Fan EQ software is nothing more than the same Fan EQ BIOS options we have seen on motherboards such as the IC7-MAX3. Users have the ability to change the fan speeds according to temperatures and can make their system run quiet when less cooling is needed. What is nice about this software is that you can adjust all of the settings in Windows now, instead of having to go into the BIOS. Also the settings are more easily understood with the help of a graph.

ABIT Flash Menu

Flash Menu is a great tool for updating a BIOS, but instead of having to do it using ALT+F2 or going to a C: prompt, Flash Menu can update a BIOS from Windows. The software will find and download the latest BIOS for the board, and flash the chip with just a few clicks. This is an excellent tool for users who are frustrated trying to find and figure out which BIOS they need. Plus, flashing is not the most comfortable area for all consumers.

OC Guru Menu 1 OC Guru Menu 2

OC Guru is another valuable too for end-users. The menu allows for overclocking from Windows instead of having to go into the BIOS
