Conclusions and Final Thoughts:

Price and Features – 9.5
The ABIT NF7-S is a very well priced motherboard. It has many nice onboard features. SoundStorm Certification, onboard LAN, serial ATA support, Firewire, and the many other features truly make this a nice board for anyone to own.

Performance – 9.5
This motherboard scored on par with our other motherboards. It scored higher in much of the 3D tests but lower in some of the more real world tests. We did not notice any significantly low scores.

Stability – 10
We did not encounter any instability at all with this board. We even tried some different memory from Kingston, OCZ, and GeIL. All of these modules worked fine with the NF7-S. The driver CD provides everything to run the board with no problems.

Support -10
Support for ABIT products is very nice. All the manuals, BIOS’s and rivers are downloadable from ABIT’s website. In addition, they list lots of other information such as newsgroups who can help with troubleshooting. RMA is easy with ABIT’s RMA Online form. They even have their own online forums. Overclocking – 10
The NF7-S is the best overclocking board we have encountered for the AMD platform. The options in the BIOS give the user full control over voltages, memory timings, and many other performance settings. The board does 228FSB in dual channel mode straight out of the box and is very easy to set up. No modifications were needed at all to obtain an incredible overclock.

Overall – 9.8
ABIT’s NF7-S v2.0 is without a doubt a winner. ABIT continues to produce quality motherboards. It fulfills almost everything we look for in a motherboard. It has great features, overclocks well, good price, and nice performance. ABIT is definitely trying to put meaning behind their slogan “Your Reliable Partner” and we believe them.
