BIOS Features:

ASUS uses AMI BIOS for their boards. If you have ever used an ASUS board in the past then you know there is just about every feature one might need in the BIOS. There are even a bunch of very advanced / low level settings that few people, if any, will ever touch. I believe I took screenshots of the more interesting pages, believe it or not there are still a lot more menus that I did not photograph.

The first menu of the BIOS is the Extreme Tweaker section, offering all the usual overclocking and tweaking features. I'm not sure if this is new to the 890FX or just an ASUS thing, but there are a lot more voltage adjustments than I have seen compared to previous 7-Series chipsets.

Pressing the Core Unlocker button on the motherboard will change the respective setting in the BIOS. Likewise one can simply just change the BIOS setting directly, or even press <4> during POST to attempt unlocking of extra CPU cores.

As mentioned before, one of the new features of the 890FX chipset is the IOMMU, which can be enabled / disabled in the BIOS. Unless you are running virtual machines it is recommended to leave this setting disabled for performance reasons.

ASUS gives the ability to store up to eight different OC Profiles in the BIOS, a nifty feature when trying out different overclocking combinations. Another menu allows for defining overclocking settings that are used by the GO button. The Go button can be used even when the machine has already loaded the operating system.
