Conclusions and Final Thoughts:

The Albatron PX865PE Pro II is a very nice motherboard. It has a ton of onboard features that power users are going to love. The 865PE chipset is a nice performer and has a lot of nice things like dual channel DDR, 800 MHz FSB, 8x AGP, etc. etc. What's nice is that Albatron took advantage of the features offered by the chipset by adding six USB ports and other things like the Gigabit LAN using the CSA bus. There is nothing that we could really think of that could have been provided with the motherboard except maybe more Serial ATA cables and SATA power cables.

In terms of stability, performance, and overclocking, the Albatron board does well in all three. We never once had an issue with stability during the course of this review. Even while overclocking, the board showed a great deal of stability and this says a lot about this quality of this particular mainboard. Performance was a little low compared to the other board but we do not feel this is an issue because we never saw the difference. There aren't any people out there who can say that they noticed the 2 or 3 frame difference. Overclocking with the motherboard was easy but we would have like to have seen some higher voltage options, especially the VCore. Nonetheless the Albatron motherboard will suit most overclockers needs.

So it is safe to say that we are impressed with the PX865PE Pro II. The features is what we love most about the board. The price is a little bit higher than other boards on the market but you have to take into consideration all of the extra stuff that comes with the bundle. We would highly recommend this board if you are looking for a nice performer with lots of other functionality. If you are looking for something a little cheaper, Albatron has other boards that use the 865PE chipset but don't quite have all the features of the Pro II.

We look forward to the upcoming products from Albatron, especially the FX5900. Maybe we will get the opportunity to review one.

Overall Rating : 9/10
