With memory speeds getting faster everyday, motherboard manufacturers are required to meet the demands of the current speed. Since PC2700 is the current JEDEC standard, Intel released the 845 GE and PE chipsets, which support fully DDR 333 and hyper threading versus the older 845 chipsets. Today we are looking at the EPoX 4GEA+ based on the Intel 845 GE chipset. EPoX has proven that they make some of the best overclocking motherboards in terms of price, stability, performance, and of course, overclocking. Most of the latest EPoX motherboards have given the user the ability to overclock much higher than other leading motherboard manufacturers because they provide much higher voltages options and more controls over the system in the BIOS. Of course when using these higher voltages you should always exercise extreme caution and understand the associated risks.
