Benchmarking:

I'm not going to get too in-depth on benchmarks, the 845PE chipset has been out for a while now, which was basically just minor update to the 845E chipset. The main focus of this review was to point out the features & shortcomings of this motherboard, and to verify that it did perform the same as other 845 based boards.

As stated previously, the benchmarks were run at the following speeds:

• Stock - 2.4GHz-133FSB / Memory 333MHz (2-3-3-6 Timing)  w/Radeon 9700 Pro
• OCed - 3.15GHz-175FSB / Memory 438MHz  (2-3-3-6 Timing)  w/Radeon 9700 Pro

First up are the Sandra benchmarks, running at stock speed, the performance matches up with what the processor and memory are running at. Once the CPU is OCed then performance really starts to shine, especially in the memory dept. Remember, if running above 150FSB use the FuzzyLogic program to OC, otherwise your memory multi will drop down to 1:1 and memory bandwidth will suffer.
