Examining The Samsung ML-2151N Print Quality:

The print quality of the ML-2151N is what you would expect from a laser printer.  It is crisp and clean with no bleeding.  The letters and lines are sharp, and the printing is very, very fast.  On the left you can see a comparison of one document printed with the toner saver option enabled, and one with out.  If you can't tell which is which, we are not going to tell you.

The ML-2151N takes about 20-30 seconds to warm up before printing begins.  When I tested the time it takes to print one page on this printer, including the warm up time, it was about 15 seconds slower then printing the same document on an HP 952C inkjet printer.  However when printing multiple pages, the ML-2151N really pulls away from a conventional inkjet.  Printing a twenty page paper took almost five minutes longer on the inkjet as opposed to the Samsung ML-2151N laser printer (one and a half minutes apposed to about six minutes).

We did run into some printing issues when the paper tray would get low.  While there was 20 or so sheets in the cassette the ML-2151N the display would read out of paper and we would be forced to press the continue key in order to print.  We are not certain of what method the ML-2151N uses to gauge the amount of paper in the cassette, but it is not very accurate.

The cassette was also very hard to open and close.  If you are not careful you could pull the printer right off of the desk it is sitting on.  Closing the cassette was equally as difficult.  In a number of instances the ML-2151N was nearly shoved off the stand while trying to close the paper drawer.  While this may loosen with time, a small locking mechanism would be more effective.
