The CPU and Specifications:

Notice that the newer D1 stepping is being used on the 3.2 processor. The D1 stepping is being used for all of the 800 MHz FSB CPU's and a few of the older CPU's on lower buses. An interesting thing to note about the D1 cores is that they can have have different core voltages even if they are the same CPU. Our particular CPU ran at a stock 1.55V according to the BIOS readings.

Well here it is. The new fastest desktop processor from Intel. The CPU, as we said earlier, supports Hyperthreading. The Hyperthreading technology allows a single processor to appear as two logical processors. Since software such as Windows XP acknowledges the two logical processors, instructions can be conducted simultaneously on shared execution resources. Benchmarks are not really going to show the performance gains from Hyperthreading unless they actually run multiple threads. It would be like running a Sandra Memory benchmark to compare video cards. Most of the benchmarks we run will not show the difference between Hyperthreading and non-Hyperthreading. Regardless, if you are going to purchase an 800 MHz FSB processor then you will get HT because all of the new processors support it.
