1GB & 2GB ATP Secure Digital SD Memory Card

Taking a look at the SD Cards:

I've seen ATP memory products before (I frequent a local Fry's Electronics) but have never had any firsthand experience with them. The card comes in a standard retail package displaying several key features, with the capacity clearly visible on the SD card.

SD cards were originally designed to hold copyrighted music and video content and prevent its unauthorized duplication via a copy protection mechanism embedded in the card. While this use is not widely adopted, SD cards have become extremely popular as regular flash memory cards due to their small size, low power consumption, high-speed data transfer, write protect switch, and planned capacity growth.

Compact Flash has been probably the most popular format since portable devices started to use flash memory, however as all these digital devices shrink in size, so must the memory cards that store the data. In the picture below, one can see that a SD card is not much taller than the size of a quarter, and has about the same thickness.
