Real World Test: Multiple File Transfer:

To simulate a little closer to "real world" conditions, I took 24 images that ranged from 2MB - 3MB in file size, totaling about 58.4MB and timed how many seconds it took to read and write the files on each memory card. Each set of test were ran 3 times to ensure consistency.

Durability Test:

Both these SD cards can handle extreme temperature ranges from -40 to 85C, so if you are lost in the arctic or stranded in the desert your SD card can cope just fine. One of the features that really caught my eye was ATP's claim about how these SD cards are weatherproof / waterproof. What makes these cards waterproof you ask? Well, underneath the regular plastic shell is a rugged sealed casing protecting the chips and electronics.

To prove their point about being weatherproof / waterproof I dropped the 2GB SD card into a jar of water and let it sit there and soak. While most people won't go around throwing their memory cards into a lake, accidents do happen. It would be a shame to loose valuable data because you spill a drink on your desk where you have a couple memory cards laying, or you drop a card in a puddle of water while switching your favorite music in your MP3 player.

After pulling the 2GB SD card out of the water and drying it off with a paper towel, I plugged it in and my data was still there perfectly intact. Continued use of the card yielded zero problems.
