Restoring Data:

To do a Data Restore or OS Restore simply press the single Restore button on the backup drive, and a menu pops up allowing the user to choose which they would like to do.

First lets talk about the OS Restore. The software allows for two copies of the OS to be backed up, the most current and the previous backup, it's good to have the extra safety factor. I'm not sure what would happen if there was only enough space to fit one OS backup on the drive, I'm assuming you wouldn't have the secondary to choose from. Again, I think with some software tweaks, there could be some options to allow for users to label the OS backups, which would make it possible to backup multiple PCs.

When doing the OS restore, the system will reboot into a DOS mode (much like the backup), but will transfer the data from the backup drive to the hard drive. So what if your system completely crashes, how do you restore it? The driver CD also acts as a bootable restore CD! Simply pop the CD in the drive (making sure the CD drive is set as one of the boot choices in your BIOS) and it will go through the same restore routine. When the restore is finished, the PC reboots and the system is back to exactly how it was when the OS was backed up! (Yes, I tried this myself to make sure it worked.)

Doing the Data Restore is extremely simple, if you do a selective restore just choose the files to restore and click start. The software will then start copying the data back to the hard drive.
