A First Look at the Enclosure:

The enclosure showed up in great packaging. It was very solid, with specifications, several pictures, installation instructions, and a compatibility list all printed clearly on the outside of the box.

Inside you'll find the enclosure, AC power adapter, USB 2.0 cable, USB 2.0 driver disk, a pack of screws, and a user guide.

The dimensions of the enclosure are approximately 5"x8.5"x1.5". The main body is a brushed aluminum with with hard plastic end caps. The end caps are a transparent smoke color, and the front of the enclosure has the "Hi-Speed Certified USB 2.0" logo printed inside the end cap. At the rear is a panel with the power switch, power connector, and USB connector. The right sight has two rubber feet on it to allow the unit to stand on it's side. The included USB cable is a very attractive clear cord with braided metal insides. The only negative thing I noticed thus far was that both the USB cable and the power adapter cord were fairly short, the USB cable is approx. 3 feet long and the adapter cord is approx. 4 feet in length. This isn't a problem generally for the USB cable as the enclosure would probably sit right next to the computer, but sometimes with power cords you might need more length to reach a wall outlet or power strip. It would be nice to see the power cord lengthened to about 6 feet. Other than that everything looked great.
