The Flash Voyager Drive:

The Flash Voyager from Corsair comes in an attractive retail packaging with clear identification as to it's capacity and various specifications. Inside the packaging is the flash drive, lanyard, driver disk, and USB extension cable.

While most USB flash drives are a hard plastic, Corsair took a different approach and instead made theirs with a durable rubber casing that provides a better grip and is water resistant. One thing I quickly noticed about the rubber is that it will pick up dust and fuzz very quickly, however it can be wiped off so it's not a huge deal.

The lanyard attaches to the rear of the drive, it is very easy to attach and remove. One potential issue I can see happening is the rubber tearing if someone tugs too hard on the drive, I personally haven't tried to see exactly how much force is needed, but one should exercise caution and common sense. Most people probably won't use the lanyard though, typically people put the drive in their pocket, bag, or briefcase.

The cap stays on the drive quite well, even after removing it many times the grip seems to be quite firm. Inside the rubber cap there are some bumps which correspond to the holes in the metal part of the drive, helping the cap stay in place when it is on. I even tried swinging the drive around on the lanyard for a while, but the cap remained in place.

The Flash Voyager has a single small blue LED, signifying drive activity. The clear cap on the LED also displays the drive's capacity (ours is 128MB).

When comparing the size of Corsair's Flash Voyager to Kingston's DataTraveler, it is very obvious how much smaller (physically) Corsair's drive is.
