Kingston DataTraveler 2.0 Hi-Speed - Found New Hardware

Upon first plugging the drive in, a notification pops up in Windows, mentioning the DataTraveler 2.0 has been found. Within a few seconds a new drive letter will appear, and the drive is ready to use.

 

Kingston DataTraveler 2.0 Hi-Speed - MyTraveler

The included MyTraveler software doesn't have to be installed to use the drive, but it provides some extra features that are actually quite nice. Clicking on the logo will bring up the drive's contents in a new folder. Clicking the tools displays the drop-down menu with various options, among which are several synchronizing functions. The synchronization is similar to how a PDA's software functions, if you are familiar with that. This allows you to keep files and bookmarks in-sync between several PCs, ensuring the latest version is always available.

 

Kingston DataTraveler 2.0 Hi-Speed - TravelerSafe

TravelerSafe is a utility that allows part of the drive to be password protected. When creating a "Privacy Zone" the drive must be formatted, so it is best to do this before you start to use the drive, otherwise you will need to temporarily copy the data to a PC. Once a "Privacy Zone" is created, the TravelerSafe program on the drive is used to log in & out of the password protected portion of the drive.
