Overall I'm extremely pleased with the second generation Kingston SSDNow V Series 128GB drive. As mentioned previously, Kingston has priced their V Series drives to be extremely affordable relative to the overall SSD market. In fact just looking at Newegg, the Kingston SSDNow V Series drives are actually the most inexpensive models listed for each capacity group! As with most SSDs, Kingston offers a 3-year warranty.

For those that don't know, OCZ's Vertex / Agility drives perform near-identical. It can be said that these drives will generally outperform the Kingston V Series drives, as the benchmarks on the previous pages showed. However, the OCZ Agility costs about 15-20% more than a respective Kingston V Series drive. Whether that difference in cost is worth the difference in performance is purely a decision for the consumer.

One downside of the Kingston SSDNow V Series is the lack of a manual tool to reset the deleted blocks for OSes that do not have TRIM support. From information I have read, Kingston claims that even without TRIM these drives should perform just fine in the long-term. This isn't really a deal-breaker, but hopefully something Kingston will consider in the future.
