What's In The Box:

The box is clearly labeled what card you are getting, you can see in big letters across the bottom that it is a GF4 Ti4200-8X OTES w/128MB DDR TV-OUT/DVI. There is the usual spiel of specifications and general information on the back of the box.

The packaging is very cool looking, and very functional at the same time. The card, cables, CDs, and documentation is in a clamshell like plastic container. This ensures that nothing gets damaged while shipping. Laying out all the stuff, there are plenty of cables to connect the video card to a TV, there is also a DVI-VGA dongle so that you can run dual regular monitors. As mentioned before you get a ton of bundled software. Then there is the manual and installation guide.

What sets this card apart from other Ti4200 cards is, it support 8X AGP, and it uses ABIT's patent pending OTES (Outside Thermal Exhaust System) thermal cooling solution. The blower sucks air in from the center, but instead of it recirculation around in your case, there is a duct that blows the air over copper fins that connect to a heat pipe, then the air exhausts out the back of your case. The fan on this card does seem a little noisier than the traditional stock GF4 cooling HSF, but it is tolerable.

The OTES setup requires two slots, which for most people isn't a big deal, I've never come close to using up all my PCI slot. On the back of the card is the standard set of connectors, a VGA, DVI, and SVideo. ABIT does include a dongle to convert the DVI port to another VGA port. Also you can see the air exhaust port.
