Benchmarks:

Code Creatures is another benchmark that is similar to 3DMarks. The official run consists of one test run at three different resolutions (1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200). The average frame rates for each resolution are calculated. There is also an overall score but we prefer to give the actual frame rates since not that many people actually are familiar enough with this benchmark to understand what the overall score means.

Serious Sam : The Second Encounter is an actual game. The first person shooter is relatively popular and can be a good indicator of video card performance. We run the benchmark using the /dem_bProfile=1 command and gather the average frame rates by using the /ReportDemoProfile() command. We run this benchmark at three resolutions (1024x768, 180x1024, 1600x1200) using the quality settings using the "Little Trouble" demo.

Quake III Arena is a pretty old game. Even though the scores with today's hardware are outrageous, a number of people still like the game and use it to check out their performance. We use Q3Bench to run the tests at three resolutions using the MAX configuration, running all the tests three times to ensure accuracy.
